| Follow-Up 20 February 2003 |
| Mrs. Doty, I am sure you don't remember me, but I will always remember you. You came to Childrens Hospital almost three years ago to bring me a box of things for my daughter. Mikaily came into our lives very unexpectedly. At 32 weeks I was taken to the hospital and induced due to pregnancy complications. She weighed a whopping 3 pounds 3 ounces at birth. She was so tiny and fragile. My husband and I were overwhelmed with the whole hospital experience. It was so nice when we showed up and not only was there a homemade blanket for Kaily, but we were given a box full of clothes that we could put on her that actually fit! For the first time I felt like I was her mom. I got to pick out a cute little outfit and get her dressed for the first time. It was wonderful and all thanks to your organization. I am so thankful to everyone who was willing to donate their precious time to help me and my family feel a little more normal. Mikaily is turning three on May 4th. She is doing really well and is a very smart little girl. Again, I just wanted to thank everyone who helped us get her off to such a! great start. God Bless. Valarie |
